Dip Ingredients
Greek Yogurt: the base of this dip is plain non-fat Greek yogurt. It’s smooth, creamy, has a good amount of protein to help make this a filling snack.
Protein Powder: to make this dip even more nutritious, and protein-packed, I like to add a scoop of plain/unflavored or vanilla protein powder.
Peanut Butter: be sure to use a creamy all-natural peanut butter for this recipe that’s made with just peanuts.
Maple Syrup: this sweetens the dip just a bit. If you’re using a protein powder that is sweetened you might need less maple syrup.
Vanilla Extract: this adds just a hint of vanilla flavor to the fruit dip.
Cinnamon: just a bit of ground cinnamon adds the perfect finish of flavor and works well with the peanut butter. You can top the yogurt dip with a sprinkle of cinnamon as well.
Ingredient Substitutions
- Yogurt – I like to use nonfat yogurt for this recipe but feel free to swap low-fat or whole milk if you prefer. If you like you could swap the plain yogurt for vanilla Greek yogurt.
- Protein Powder – plain or vanilla protein powder or my favorite choices for this dip as it doesn’t change the flavor too drastically. If you prefer you could leave out the protein powder altogether.
- Peanut Butter – don’t love peanut butter? swap it for almond butter or cashew butter.
- Maple Syrup – you can swap the maple syrup for honey or another liquid sweetener of your choice. Feel free to add more or less sweetener depending on your preference.
