The Perfect Healthy Treat – Pumpkin Pie Dip

If you love pumpkin pie then you’re going to love this creamy Pumpkin Pie Dip! My high protein yogurt fruit dip has been such a hit with y’all that I knew I had to create something similar for the cozy fall season. This dip is going to be your new favorite snack for a few different reasons:

  • it’s easy to make – just add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl and whisk together until well combined. No need for a stand or hand mixer, all you need is a whisk and a bowl to get the job done.
  • it’s packed with protein – the combination of greek yogurt and protein powder make this dip a protein packed powerhouse snack.
  • it skips the cream cheese – if you’re looking for a pumpkin dip that’s a bit lighter than most of the traditional options made with cream cheese then this is the dip for you!
  • it’s delicious – I mean this matters most right? this creamy dip gives you all of that pumpkin pie spice and flavor that’s perfect to pair with fresh fruit or cookies.

Pumpkin Pie Dip Ingredients

Greek yogurt: the base of this recipe is non-fat Greek yogurt which makes this dip nice and creamy without having to use any cream cheese.

Pumpkin Puree: you can’t have pumpkin pie dip without pumpkin! Be sure to get a can of pure pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling for this dip.

Protein Powder: plain or vanilla protein powder gives this dip even more protein.

Almond Butter: to add some healthy fats and make the dip even more creamy you’ll need a bit of almond butter. I’ve included some substitutions below if needed.

Maple Syrup: the flavors of pumpkin and maple syrup are the perfect match! you’ll need a bit to add the perfect touch of sweetness.

Vanilla Extract: a little vanilla extract helps to make this dip taste just like pumpkin pie.

Pumpkin Pie Spice: last, but certainly not least, you’ll need a good amount of pumpkin pie spice to give the dip that distinctly pumpkin pie flavor. You can even sprinkle a little extra on top of the dip before serving.

Ingredient Substitutions

  • Yogurt – to keep the protein content high, I usually use a nonfat Greek yogurt for this dip. Feel free to swap it for whole milk or low fat Greek yogurt instead. If you need to keep this recipe dairy free, you could also try using a dairy free Greek style yogurt instead.
  • Protein Powder – I prefer to use plain or vanilla flavored protein powder for this recipe. A cinnamon flavored or pumpkin pie flavored powder could also be really delicious.
  • Almond Butter – you can swap the almond butter for another neutral nut butter like cashew butter if you prefer. You could also use peanut butter but it will make the dip taste like peanut butter so skip that if you don’t love the flavor of peanuts.
  • Maple Syrup – replace the maple syrup with honey if you like! You can also decrease the amount of maple syrup in the recipe to suite your tastebuds.
