Ingredients

Cream Cheese: the base of this dip. Look for full-fat block varieties, not cream cheese from a tub!

Greek Yogurt: this helps create a smooth, fluffy texture and adds extra protein and a tasty tang. I recommend full-fat yogurt, but any percentage can be used.

Red Onion: trust me on this! Finely minced red onion adds the perfect flavor to the dip.

Lemon Juice and Zest: fresh lemon juice and zest adds some much needed brightness the pairs well with salmon.

Capers: you can leave these out if desired, but I love the briny flavor they add.

Smoked Salmon: I like to use cold smoked salmon for this recipe but feel free to use what you prefer.

Herbs and Spices: salt, black pepper, fresh dill, and chopped chives.

  1. I whipped this up to serve with a veggie tray on Christmas. It was pretty quick to prep and everyone loved it. The blend of onion, lemon, dill, and capers make a great flavor combo with the salmon. Thanks for another great recipe, Ashlea!
