The Best Chipotle Ranch Dressing
Love chipotle? Love ranch? Then, why not combine them both into one delicious condiment? That’s exactly what I did with this easy chipotle ranch dressing recipe!
It has the spicy smokey taste of chipotle and the creamy, tanginess of ranch for a dip or dressing you’ll love. Pair it with salads, rice bowls, tacos, and more. It’s sure to become your new favorite dressing.
Even better, it comes together with less than ten ingredients in a blender! Plus, you can easily adjust the ingredients to suit your preferences. You’ll never go back to store-bought options again!
Recipe Ingredients
Chipotle Pepper in Adobo: You’ll need one chipotle pepper in adobo sauce. This gives the dressing its robust flavor.
Yogurt: I prefer to use whole-milk Greek yogurt for this recipe, but low-fat yogurt will also work.
Lime Juice & Zest: Adds a nice brightness, balancing out the dressing.
Fresh Herbs: Cilantro, dill, and chives add a bright, herbaceous flavor that pairs well with the rich, spicy flavors.
Garlic: Fresh garlic cloves are best, but pre-minced will also work if that’s all you have.
Olive oil: This combines the ingredients, creating an emulsion without diluting the flavor of the dressing.
Ingredient Variations
- Chipotle Peppers – Want more spice? Add an extra pepper with adobo sauce!
- Yogurt – use your favorite plain plant-based yogurt to keep this recipe completely dairy-free.
- Sour Cream– swap the Greek yogurt for sour cream if you prefer.
How to Make Chipotle Ranch Dressing
Step One: Add the chipotle pepper in adobo, Greek yogurt, lime juice, lime zest, cilantro, dill, chives, garlic, and olive oil to a blender or food processor.
Step Two: Blend or process until smooth and creamy. Add a tablespoon or more of water to thin the dressing as needed until you reach your desired consistency.
