The Best Peanut Dressing Recipe
I’ve been making this Thai-inspired peanut dressing for years and I figured it was finally time to get the recipe up for y’all!
All you need is a blender or food processor, a few ingredients, and just a few minutes to make this creamy dressing that’s perfect for salads, as a dip, or a sauce to top your favorite dishes.
I recommend making a double batch because you’re going to want to pour this on everything!
Recipe Ingredients
Peanut Butter: Make sure to use creamy peanut butter for this recipe. For the best taste and texture, look for natural varieties without any added sugar or oil.
Lime Juice: Adds a bright flavor to the dressing. Freshly squeezed is best!
Toasted Sesame Oil: This gives the dressing a delicious nutty flavor. You can usually find sesame oil in the Asian section of your local grocery store.
Fish Sauce: This adds a salty, umami taste that takes this dressing to the next level!
Coconut Aminos: This is a common gluten-free soy sauce substitute. Coconut aminos add a salty, umami flavor with a hint of sweetness.
Rice Wine Vinegar: Adds a sweet yet tart flavor to the dressing.
Sriracha: This chili sauce adds just the right amount of heat to the peanut dressing.
Honey: A little bit of honey adds a touch of sweetness to the dressing.
Chopped Cilantro: Don’t forget to use both the leaves and stems for the best flavor.
Recipe Variations
- Peanut Butter – if you prefer you can swap the peanut butter for almond butter or cashew butter.
- Coconut Aminos – you can swap the coconut aminos for soy sauce if you prefer. Because soy sauce is saltier than coconut aminos, I recommend skipping the salt if you use them and just salting to taste.
- Honey – don’t have honey? swap it for maple syrup instead!
