The Best Green Goddess Ranch Dressing
I’m in my “we’ve got food at home” era which means I’m recreating some of my restaurant favorites at home so I can eat great but stay on budget. Thankfully, this copycat Sweetgreen Green Goddess Ranch was so easy to make at home and dare I say even better than Sweetgreen’s! It’s packed with tons of fresh herbs and the perfect addition to salads, bowls, tacos, and more. Once you make it this dressing is going to be a staple in your kitchen – true me!

Recipe Ingredients
Greek Yogurt: I prefer to use whole-milk Greek yogurt for this recipe, but low-fat or non-fat yogurt will also work.
Olive Oil: This helps blend the ingredients together and creates the creamiest dressing.
Garlic and Shallot: fresh garlic adds the perfect flavor and I love using shallot in this dressing because of its milder flavor.
Fresh Herbs: you’ll need fresh dill, fresh parsley, fresh chives, and fresh basil for this recipe. I like to use fresh herbs for this recipe but if you need to use dried herbs the rule of thumb for substituting is 1 teaspoon of dried herbs for every 1 tablespoon of fresh.
Lemon Juice: a must have in this dressing and it works so well with the flavor of the fresh herbs. Freshly squeezed is best and you can add in some lemon zest if you want even more lemon flavor.
White Wine Vinegar: helps brighten the dressing.
Hot Sauce: adds extra depth of flavor and just a little kick.

How to Make Homemade Green Goddess Ranch Dressing
Step One: Add the Greek yogurt and olive oil to a mixing bowl, and whisk until smooth.
Step Two: Next, add the garlic, salt, herbs, vinegar, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Whisk until well combined.
Step Three: Add a bit of water to thin the Ranch to your desired consistency.

Ways to Use
There are so many ways to use this green goddess ranch! If you’re looking for ideas, some of my favorite options include:
- Dressing on salads like my easy steak salad, Greek salad, and cobb salad.
- Condiment to add to recipes like sheet pan bbq chicken ranch bowls, Mediterranean steak and rice bowls, and roasted chipotle cauliflower tacos.
- Dipping sauce with crispy baked buffalo chicken wings, air fryer buffalo cauliflower, or crispy potato skins.
How to Store
Store leftover dressing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Stir or shake before using to redistribute the ingredients.
