Healthy Cottage Cheese Dip Recipe

Cottage cheese has been in everything lately and while I was a little hesitant at first, after some experimenting in my own kitchen I can see why! If you’ve been looking for a quick, easy, and high protein afternoon snack then you’re going to love this COTTAGE CHEESE DIP recipe.

It’s extra creamy, full of flavor, and only takes a few minutes to put together. You can prep it in advance to keep on hand for whenever you need a snack and pair it with crackers, veggies, or pita chips for dipping. It’s also a great party appetizer option!

Ingredients

Cottage Cheese: you can’t have a cottage cheese dip recipe without cottage cheese! I personally prefer whole milk cottage cheese for this recipe but low fat will also work.

Seasonings: onion powder, fresh dill, salt, black pepper.

Lemon Juice and Zest: fresh lemon juice and zest give this dip a bright, lemony flavor.

Garlic: you’ll need at least 2 smashed garlic cloves for this recipe. Feel free to use a bit more if you want even more garlic flavor.

Olive Oil: I like to use a bit of olive oil to help give the dip an extra smooth and creamy texture.

How to Make This Creamy Cottage Cheese Dip Recipe

Step One: Add all the ingredients to a high-powered blender or food processor.

Step Two: Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step Three: Transfer the dip to a bowl, garnish with fresh parsley and dill, and enjoy!

Can I Make This Dip in Advance?

Yes! I recommend making it a day in advance and storing it in the fridge. Then, transfer the dip to your serving bowl, and add any toppings right before serving.

How to Serve Cottage Cheese Dip

The great thing about a dip like this one is how many things you can pair it with! Here are a few great options.

  1. Veggies – some of my favorites are carrots, celery sticks, bell pepper strips, radishes, cucumbers, snap peas, and tomatoes.
  2. Chicken Wings – similar to ranch dip, this recipe pairs well with the bold flavors and crisp texture of all your favorite chicken wings such as buffalo chicken wingsgarlic parmesan chicken wings, and BBQ chicken wings
  3. Crackers, Pretzels, or Chips – you can never go wrong with crunchy snacks for dipping.
  4. Pita Bread – if you prefer a softer texture, pita bread makes a delicious dipper, too.
