Recipe Ingredients

Salmon: you can use any salmon you like for this recipe! I personally love to use a 4-6 oz salmon filet with the skin removed.

Avocado Oil: you’ll need a neutral cooking oil that can handle higher heat and my go-to choice is always avocado oil.

Avocado: delicious ripe avocados are the base of the avocado salsa in this dish.

Tomato: for additional freshness and flavor we’re using a few cherry tomatoes.

Red Onion: finely diced red onion gives the salsa some. additional flavor and crunch.

Lime: we’re using both the zest, juice, and a few slices for garnish.

Cilantro: fresh chopped cilantro adds the perfect touch to the salsa and salmon.

Jalapeño: this is optional but a little fresh jalapeño adds the perfect amount of heat.

How to Serve the Salmon

My favorite way to serve this salmon is with a generous serving of cilantro lime coconut rice. Another option is to flake the salmon into pieces and then serve in tacos with the salsa as a topping. Just use your favorite tortillas! Adding some additional fresh cilantro is always a great idea!

Can you make this in the air fryer? What would the time and temperature be to do it this way?

    1. Ashlea Carver says:

Hi, Jill! I haven’t tested this recipe in the air fryer.

  3. Made this tonight and my husband, who turned his nose up when I told him we were having salmon, said “wow this is good! You should save this recipe.” Needless to say, I will be saving this recipe because it is so quick and so easy and it tastes really good!!

  4. My husband and I are not really into fish (unless it’s AYCE sushi!), but I knew we needed to add it into our dinner rotation because of its health benefits. I already had avocados on hand that were about to turn, so I figured I’d give this a try. It was soooo good! My husband, who turned his nose up when I mentioned salmon for dinner, actually said “wow, this is good!” So this recipe is definitely a winner. The salmon is well seasoned and the avocado salsa is refreshing and a little bit tangy with that lime juice. Also, it only took about 20 minutes to make. Definitely making this again.
