Recipe Ingredients

Salmon: you’ll need four 6-ounce salmon filets for this recipe. Make sure to remove the skin!

Sriracha: this chili sauce adds just the right amount of heat to the glaze.

Maple Syrup: maple syrup helps to add a bit of sweetness to the glaze. Don’t have any maple syrup on hand? Feel free to use honey instead!

Coconut Aminos: this is a soy sauce alternative. It has a slightly sweeter flavor than traditional soy sauce but still adds that salty umami flavor. If you prefer you can swap out the coconut aminos for soy sauce, just remove the salt from ingredients to ensure the fish is not too salty.

Tips and Tricks

  • Use equal-sized filets. Look for filets that are roughly the same size and thickness. This will ensure they cook quickly and evenly.
  • Check for doneness. You’ll know your salmon is done cooking when it’s opaque pink and easily flakes with a fork. The length of time the fish stays in the air fryer will depend on how you prefer your salmon to be cooked.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket. Make sure to arrange the salmon filets in an even layer, leaving space between each piece to allow the air to circulate evenly and cook the fish on all sides. Work in batches as needed!

Do You Have to Flip Salmon in the Air Fryer?

No, the air will circulate and cook the salmon on all sides. So, there’s no need to flip it when air frying.

Can I Bake the Salmon Instead?

Yes! Just arrange glazed salmon on a baking sheet. Then, bake at 400 degrees until the filets cook through, around 12-15 minutes.
