The BEST Stir Fry Sauce
I love a good stir fry and I’m assuming you to do too, since you’ve found your way to this blog post all about how to make stir fry sauce! A quick stir fry is such an easy dinner but knowing what sauce to use to pull all of the veggies and protein together is usually where people struggle, including myself. Instead of constantly trying to figure out “what sauce to use?!” I just decided to make my own homemade sauce that I can keep in the fridge and pull out whenever I need it.
My stir fry sauce recipe is made with a few simple kitchen staples that you likely already have on hand but still packs a ton of flavor. Also, this sauce recipe is truly “all-purpose” which means that it is bold in flavor while still being versatile enough to use with a variety of different veggies and proteins!

Sauce Ingredients
Soy Sauce: forms the base of the sauce, creating a salty taste. Feel free to substitute tamari or coconut aminos if you need to keep this easy stir fry sauce gluten-free.
Low-Sodium Broth: I recommend using low-sodium chicken broth or vegetable broth for this recipe.
Sesame Oil: this adds a delicious depth of flavor to the sauce. You can usually find this in the Asian section of your local grocery store!
Rice Vinegar: adds a slightly sweet and tangy flavor to the sauce.
Garlic: you’ll need at least two garlic cloves. Mince, grate, or crush them, depending on your preference.
Ginger: fresh ginger works best in the recipe but frozen crushed ginger will also work well.
Honey: adds the perfect touch of sweetness to balance the salty, savory flavors. Don’t have honey on hand? Feel free to use maple syrup instead! You can also adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup to fit your tastebuds.
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes: for a touch of heat. Add more or less to taste.
Cornstarch: this helps thicken the sauce when heated so that it coats everything in your stir fry.
