The Best Honey BBQ Sauce Recipe

I realized I had never made a homemade bbq sauce recipe which obviously had to change! This homemade honey bbq sauce is SO good and incredibly EASY to make.
It takes about 20 minutes to whip up and is great to prep ahead of time and keep on hand in the fridge! Once you make your own bbq sauce you won’t want to go back. This honey version is great for all of the traditional bbq things like dipping, glazing, or drizzling on your favorite sandwich.

Simple BBQ Sauce Ingredients
Ketchup: I typically use low-sodium and lower sugar ketchup for this recipe, but any kind you have on hand will work.
Sweetener: we’re using a combination of dark brown sugar and honey to sweeten the barbecue sauce.
Apple Cider Vinegar: this helps to give the sauce that classic bbq sauce tang and helps to balance the sweetness.
Spices: you’ll need garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, cayenne pepper, kosher salt, and black pepper for this recipe. A simple but effective combination that gives the sauce its perfect flavor.
Worcestershire Sauce: just a bit really helps to give the bbq sauce the perfect well-rounded flavor.

How to Make Honey BBQ Sauce
Step One: Add all the BBQ sauce ingredients to a small saucepan, and whisk until well combined.
