Better Than Takeout Copycat Chipotle Dressing
This year we’re saving money and making Chipotle at home!! and you cannot (in my opinion) have a good Chipotle bowl without the signature dressing so of course I created a recipe for you! It’s so similar to the Chipotle version except my recipe is actually better (again, in my opinion) and I promise you’re going to want to put it on everything.
This recipe is so easy to make, stores well, and is perfect to drizzle on salads, burrito bowls, tacos, and more. Whatever you chose to do with it, I promise you’re going to LOVE it.

Dressing Ingredients
Red Wine Vinegar: this is one of the base ingredients for the dressing. The flavor of red wine vinegar works really well in this dressing to give it some tang while not being overpowering.
Lime Juice: a must have for some brightness and that perfect lime flavor.
Honey: this adds the perfect touch of sweetness and pairs really well with the chipotle peppers. If you don’t have any honey maple syrup will also work.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil: this helps give the dressing a velvety smooth consistency. Be sure to use a high-quality oil that you love the taste of for this recipe!
Chipotle Peppers in Adobo: you will need two to three chipotle peppers in adobo for this recipe. I like to start with two peppers, but feel free to add more if you want even more heat.
Garlic: fresh garlic cloves are really best here to give the dressing the most robust flavor.
Seasonings: we’re using dried oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper!

How to Make Chipotle Copycat Dressing
Step One: Add all the ingredients to a high-powered blender.
Step Two: Blend until smooth.
Step Three: Use the dressing right away, or transfer it to an airtight container to store for later.

Ways to Use
You’ll love using this dressing on salads, rice bowls, tacos, and whatever else you can dream up. It’s also great as a marinade or try pairing it with some sliced veggies as a dipping sauce. Here are a few of my favorite recipes that you could try pairing this dressing with:

How to Store
You can store this dressing in an airtight container in the fridge for 5 to 7 days. My go to is always a mason jar with a lid for storage. Sometimes the ingredients settle so just be sure to give the dressing a good shake or stir to redistribute the ingredients before using.
