Watch How to Make This Recipe
Iced pumpkin drinks are my go to when the weather is still pretty warm but I’m craving all things fall and this one does not disappoint. It’s got warm notes of brown sugar from a homemade brown sugar syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and it’s made with real pumpkin puree. You’re going to love it!
Recipe Ingredients
Espresso: I use 2 shots of espresso for this recipe, but you can also use half a cup of strongly brewed coffee.
Pumpkin Purée: make sure to use pure pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling. The only ingredient should be pumpkin!
Brown Sugar Simple Syrup: I use homemade simple brown sugar syrup to add that perfect sweet brown sugar flavor.
Pumpkin Pie Spice: you can use pre-made blend, or make your own pumpkin pie spice to keep on hand.
Oat Milk: I use plain unsweetened oat milk for this recipe, but you can also use almond milk or whatever milk you prefer.
How to Make a Homemade Pumpkin Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso
Step One: Add the espresso shots, pumpkin purée, brown sugar simple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice to a mason jar with a lid or a cocktail shaker. Shake the mixture for 20 seconds or until well combined.
Step Two: Pour the espresso mixture into a glass over ice.
Step Three: Top the drink with oat milk. Then, finish it with a dusting of pumpkin pie spice on top, and enjoy!
