Why You’ll Love this Light and Fresh Red Cabbage Slaw
It’s quick and easy – seriously, this slaw couldn’t be easier to make. The hardest part is whipping up the dressing which will only take you a couple of minutes.
It’s not mayo based – if you’re not a fan of mayonnaise based slaws, then I know you’ll love this recipe! It’s got some of that classic coleslaw flavor without the mayo.
It’s the perfect side – this red cabbage slaw is the perfect topping for pulled pork sandwiches or side to pair with all of your grilled summer favorites like hot dogs or burgers. It pairs well with fish, chicken, beef, or pork!
Step One: Add the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, celery seed, and dijon mustard to a mixing bowl.
Step Two: Whisk all of the dressing ingredients together until everything is well combined.
Step Three: Add the shredded cabbage, carrots, and sliced green onion to the mixing bowl and toss until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
