Honey Cinnamon Simple Syrup

This latte gets its delicious honey cinnamon flavor from a honey cinnamon simple syrup. If you have never made simple syrup before, trust me it could not be easier. All you need are a few ingredients (that you probably already have) to make the syrup. The best part? Once you make a batch you will have plenty of extra syrup left to make even more oatmilk lattes.

Here’s what you need to make the simple syrup:

  • water
  • honey
  • cinnamon sticks
  • vanilla extract

SOOOO GOOOOOD! I didn’t have the time to boil water, so I instead microwaved water, honey, and powder cinnamon together. I also tweaked to a sugar free, decafe coffee. Tasted just as good as the recipe and I stayed within my daily macros. Can’t wait to try this hot.

Not only were the lattes delicious, but the simmering cinnamon sticks made the whole kitchen smell amazing! The oatmilk made the lattes perfectly creamy and delicious. Skipping starbucks from here on out!

When Ashlea comes out with a new iced latte recipe – you make it! It came out Thursday and I made it immediately on Friday morning. I’m typically a black iced coffee girl with a dash of milk but love to switch it up once in a while. This was a perfect way to have something fun without being overly sweet and so easy to make. Thanks Ashlea!
