Why You’ll Love This Whipped Ricotta with Honey and Herbs
When I was thinking through the holiday appetizers I wanted to create for y’all this year, I knew I had to make some easy yet delicious apps that would be equally show stopping and EASY! I nailed the easy and beautiful combo with this Creamy Whipped Ricotta with Honey and Herbs.
It’ll take you less than 15 minutes and a few ingredients to throw this dip together and, when you top it with fresh herbs and honey, it will impress your guests every single time.
Ingredients
Ricotta: you’ll need 15 to 16 ounces of whole milk ricotta cheese for the base of the dip. I like whole milk ricotta for the creamiest dip but part-skim ricotta will also work.
Lemon Juice and Zest: we’re using fresh lemon to give the dip a brighter more complex flavor.
Olive Oil: a bit of oil helps combine the ingredients and gives the dip a smooth cream consistency.
Honey: you’ll finish the dip with a drizzle of honey for the perfect touch of sweetness. You could also go with hot honey if you prefer!
Fresh Thyme: this adds a beautiful pop of color and some delicious herby flavor.

How to Make
Step One: Add the ricotta, lemon juice, olive oil, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper to the bowl of a food processor or high-speed blender.
Step Two: Process until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the food processor as needed. Give it a taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Step Three: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Then, top it with honey, fresh thyme, and flaky salt. Enjoy with your favorite dippers!
Can I Make This Dip in Advance?
Yes! If you’re preparing ahead of time, I recommend omitting the toppings until just before serving. Combine the ingredients, and transfer the dip to an airtight container.
Store it in the fridge for up to 2 to 3 days. Then, give it a good stir before serving, add the honey, herbs, and salt, and enjoy!
