Your New Favorite Salad Recipe
Crisp, cool, creamy, and refreshing!
If there’s one thing I don’t do, it’s boring salads, and this cucumber and avocado salad is one of my favorite quick dishes! Perfect for the end of summer, it combines a handful of simple ingredients to create a crisp, creamy recipe that pairs well with a variety of main courses.
Even better, it comes together in minutes. Just chop, combine, and serve!

Ingredient Notes
- Cucumbers: we’re using Persian cucumbers for this recipe because they have fewer seeds and a thinner skin than traditional cucumbers. If you can’t find Persian cucumbers, English cucumbers (also known as hothouse cucumbers) will also work.
- Avocados: adds a bit of creaminess and healthy fats.
- Radishes: sliced thinly, these add a nice crunch and to the salad and pair really well with the cucumber.
- Buttermilk Ranch Dressing: I use my homemade ranch dressing, combining chopped dill, chives, whole milk Greek yogurt, buttermilk, salt, pepper, and garlic. However, feel free to use any store-bought option you like best.

Can I Make a Ranch Avocado Cucumber Salad Ahead of Time?
Because the cucumber tends to release quite a bit of water as it sits, I prefer to eat this salad fresh on the first day of making it! However, you can prepare the dressing up to 2 weeks in advance. Store it in an airtight container in the fridge, and give it a quick shake or stir to redistribute the ingredients before using.
