Hot Honey + Salmon + Veggies = Dinnertime Heaven

Quick, easy, and so delicious!

I’ve been making lots of sheet pan recipes lately, because they’re just so easy! And this hot honey salmon recipe might be my best sheet pan recipe yet. It’s high in protein, loaded with fresh veggies, and the hot honey glaze takes the flavor to the next level…it is so good!

The best part is that all the ingredients cook on two sheet pans and the whole meal is ready to eat in about 30 minutes. It could not be easier! With minimal prep time and just a few dishes, it makes getting in and out of the kitchen easy. You can easily adjust the flavor, adding more or less spice. Then, mix and match different sides and toppings as you like! You’re going to love this one!

Key Ingredients and Notes

This is an overview of the main ingredients in this recipe. See the recipe card for full ingredients and instructions, below.

  1. Hot Honey: we’re combining honey, apple cider vinegar, crushed red pepper flakes, and garlic to create a delicious sweet and spicy glaze.
  2. Veggies: I use broccoli, red bell pepper, and yellow onion, but feel free to mix and match whatever veggies you have on hand.
  3. Salmon: I use a 1 ½ pound piece of center-cut salmon and cut it into bite-sized pieces.

How to Make This Sheet Pan Hot Honey Salmon Recipe with Veggies

Step One: Make the hot honey glaze. Whisk all the ingredients until well combined.

Step Two: Roast the veggies. Toss the veggies in hot honey, and bake until they’re crisp-tender, tossing halfway through.

Step Three: Prep the salmon. Toss the salmon pieces with spices and hot honey, coating them completely.

Step Four: Broil the salmon pieces until bubbly and browned on all sides. Enjoy!

Serving Suggestions

I always serve my hot honey salmon bites over easy garlic rice with chives and a drizzle of extra hot honey. They’re also great over quinoa or cauliflower rice. Or, enjoy the salmon and veggies with a side of crispy smashed potatoes or roasted sweet potatoes

Units Scale

Homemade Hot Honey

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/21 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed or finely minced

Veggies

  • 10 oz broccoli
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 2 tablespoons homemade hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Salmon

  • 1.5 pounds center cut salmon, cut into 1.5-2 inch pieces and patted dry
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey mixture
  • 1 tablespoon oil

For Serving:

  • white rice
  • extra hot honey
  • chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Homemade Hot Honey: Whisk together the honey, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, and garlic until well combined.
  2. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line a half sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Line a quarter sheet pan with a silicone baking mat.
  3. Add all of the veggies, seasoning, and oil to a large mixing bowl and toss until well combined and the veggies are coated. Transfer the veggies to the lined half sheet pan. Roast the veggies for 15-20 minutes until they are tender, yet crisp, tossing halfway through.
  4. While the veggies are roasting prep the salmon. Add the salmon pieces, spices, hot honey, and oil to a mixing bowl. Toss until the salmon is well coated and then transfer to the silicone lined baking sheet.
  5. Once the veggies are finished roasting, turn the oven to broil and then add the salmon. Broil the salmon for 4-5 minutes and then flip and broil an additional 3-5 minutes until bubbly and browned.
  6. Serve the salmon and veggies with rice, chives, and a drizzle of the remaining hot remaining honey!

  1. Made this last week and it turned out great! Didn’t cube the salmon as I didn’t have a center cut and the pieces were going to cook unevenly, but the flavors were great and a really tasty switch up from my usual salmon recipe. Adding to our dinner rotation! #FeelGoodJanuary

  2. Delicious and super easy. Used premade hot honey to make it even faster. Will be adding to the rotation. Be sure to watch the salmon when it is on broil- almost burned mine!

  3. #feel good January! I was so excited to make this because it sounded delicious, and did not disappoint! Simple, easy, and so tasty with amazing flavor. Thanks very much!

  4. Easy and really delicious! I’ve been wanting to eat more salmon so this recipe is just what I was looking for! #FeelGoodJanuary
