Description

Ultra Crispy Baked Chicken Wings are a must for any game day or party spread and if you’ve been wondering how to get a crispy wing without having to deep fry then I’ve got the answers you need. One simple ingredient and a simple combination of spices will give you the best, crispiest wings you’ve ever had – no deep frying required! Serve them with your favorite dip for a crowd-pleasing appetizer that won’t take a ton of your time and will be a hit with everyone!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds split chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

For Serving:

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and then add them to a large mixing bowl. Add the avocado oil and baking powder to the wings and toss until well coated.
  3. Place the chicken wings on the parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and the skin is crispy, flipping halfway through.
  4. Once all of the wings are done cooking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and all of the dried spices. Toss until well combined.
  5. Transfer the wings to a serving platter and serve with celery, carrots, and your favorite dips.

Notes

Store leftover crispy oven baked wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

To reheat, warm leftovers in an air fryer using the ‘reheat’ function or by simply heating it to 400°F. Or, arrange the wings in an even layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, and warm them in the oven at 400°F just until they’re crispy and heated through.
