Ingredients
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2 1/2 cups water, divided
- 1 pound strawberries, tops removed and rinsed
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
Method
- Add the maple syrup, 1/2 cup of water, strawberries, lemon juice, and basil to a high-powered blender.
- Blend the strawberry mixture until smooth. Use fine mesh strainer to strain any seeds from the strawberry mixture.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into a large mixture and then add two cups of filtered water. Transfer to the refrigerator to chill until you are ready to serve.
- When ready, pour over ice and serve with fresh lemon slices and a fresh basil garnish.
Notes
!!- Add more lemon juice to make the lemonade more tart or more maple syrup to make the lemonade sweeter.
- Stir the lemonade before serving if it has settled.
