These delicious Ground Turkey Tacos are made with just a few simple ingredients for a quick and easy weeknight dinner that the whole family will love!

- 1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil
- 1 pound 93/7 ground turkey
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder
- 1 teaspoon arrowroot starch
- 1/2 cup salsa
- juice of one lime
- 1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
Toppings/Garnishes:
- white corn or flour tortillas
- chopped tomatoes
- chopped romaine lettuce
- shredded white cheddar
- red onion
- thinly sliced jalapeño
- chopped cilantro
- lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Heat a skillet to medium-high heat. Once hot, add the oil.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Brown the meat, breaking it up as it cooks. Once the meat has started to brown, add the garlic and diced onion. Continue to brown the meat until it is no longer pink and the onion is translucent.
- Next, lower the heat to medium and add the ground cumin, chili powder, paprika, dried oregano, chipotle powder, salt, and arrowroot starch to the ground turkey. Cook for 1 minute until the spices are fragrant.
- Add in the salsa and lime juice and stir until well combined. Let the ground turkey simmer for 3-4 minutes until the mixture has thickened and then remove from the heat.
- Next, assemble the tacos and enjoy!
