- 1.5 pounds ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
- 1/4 cup roasted red peppers, diced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Creamy Tzatziki Sauce
- 3/4 whole milk Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup grated seedless/English cucumber, gently squeezed in a kitchen cloth to remove water
- 1 clove fresh garlic, finely minced or pressed
- 2 tablespoons chopped dill
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and pepper (to taste)
Toppings
- tzatziki sauce
- thinly sliced red onion
- red tomato
- thinly sliced English cucumber
- green leaf lettuce
- whole grain brioche buns
Instructions
- Add the ground turkey, dill, feta, spinach, red onion, roasted red peppers, spices, garlic, salt and pepper to a large mixing bowl.
- Use your fingers to gently mix everything together until well combined. Divide the ground turkey mixture into five patties.
- Make the Tzatziki Sauce: add the greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, dill, lemon juice, and olive oil to a small bowl. Stir until well combined.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon of oil and then add the patties. Cook for 5-6 minutes and then flip the burgers and cook for another 5-6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. While the burgers are cooking toast your buns.
- Remove the patties from the pan and assemble your burgers on toasted brioche buns with all your favorite toppings and the tzatziki sauce.
