Description

This easy baked salmon is tender, flaky, and lightly seasoned. Ready to eat in about 30 minutes, it turns out perfect every time for a versatile protein source to add to all your favorite meals and it only takes a few simple ingredients to make.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound salmon, skin removed (I used a 1 pound center cut piece but you could also use individual filets)
  • olive oil
  • kosher salt
  • black pepper
  • lemon, sliced into wedges and thin slices for garnish
  • fresh chopped dill, for garnish

For Serving

  • simple green salad
  • cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and place in the center of the sheet pan.
  3. Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil on the salmon and then season liberally with kosher salt and pepper.
  4. Bake the salmon for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches your desired temperature. (I prefer 130-135). The amount of cooking time will depend on the thickness of the fish.
  5. Remove the salmon from the oven and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon and a sprinkle of fresh dill before serving.
