Description

Learn how to make roasted asparagus in the oven! Full of flavor, this simple side dish comes together with just a few ingredients and is ready in 15 minutes or less. 


Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, plus more to taste
  • juice and zest of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the asparagus in the oil, salt, pepper until well coated.
  3. Transfer the asparagus to the prepared sheet pan in a single layer.
  4. Roast the asparagus for 10-12 minutes until they are tender yet still crisp and have a bit of bite to them.
  5. Remove the asparagus from the oven and finish with fresh lemon juice and zest before serving.
