Description

This Easy Teriyaki Sauce Recipe is sweet, tangy, and better than anything store-bought. All you need are eight simple ingredients and a few minutes, and it’s ready for you to use in a variety of different recipes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup coconut aminos
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon crushed ginger
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed or finely minced

Cornstarch Slurry

  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Be careful to watch it so it doesn’t boil over.
  2. While you bring the sauce to a simmer make the cornstarch slurry by whisking together the warm water and cornstarch in a small bowl.
  3. Once the sauce is simmering, whisk in the cornstarch slurry. Let the sauce simmer for 1-2 minutes and continue to thicken.
  4. Remove from the heat and let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
