- 1-16 ounce Italian loaf, split in half lengthwise
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 6 cloves garlic, finely minced, grated, or crushed
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add the butter, garlic, parsley, parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to a mixing bowl. Stir together until well combined.
- Place the bread, cut side up, on the lined baking sheet and spread the butter mixture evenly on both pieces.
- Bake the bread for 15-18 minutes until the edges are golden brown and crisp.
- Let the bread cool slightly before slicing and serving hot.
