Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps feature crisp lettuce leaves wrapped around a tangy Asian-inspired ground turkey filling. High-protein and delicious, they’re a flavorful appetizer or main course perfect for meal prep!

- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 small carrot, grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- juice of 1 lime, plus more for serving
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion, plus more for serving
- Bibb/Butter lettuce leaves, for serving
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add in the avocado oil and then add the ground turkey. Brown the meat, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Once the ground turkey has browned add the ginger and grated carrot and cook for 3-4 minutes until the carrot has softened.
- Next add the garlic, coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sesame oil, lime juice, and spices. Stir until well combined and then cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and then stir in the green onion. Serve the ground turkey mixture in lettuce leaves (around 1/4 cup) and topped with additional green onion and a squeeze of lime juice.
