Ingredients

For the Greek Chicken Burgers

  • 1 pound ground chicken

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill

  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the tzatziki sauce:

For Serving

  • green leaf lettuce leaves

  • sliced tomatoes

  • sliced red onion

Method

  1. Combine all of the chicken burger ingredients in small bowl and mix until just combined. Form the ground chicken into four individual burger patties.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Next, add your chicken burgers to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until the burger patties are cooked through completely. Set the burgers aside when finished cooking.

  3. While the burgers are cooking make the tzatziki sauce. Add the cucumber, dill, and garlic to a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.

  4. Add the cucumber, garlic, and dill mixture to the yogurt and stir until well combined. Next, add the lemon juice and salt. Give it a taste and add more salt if you like.

  5. Finally assemble your chicken burgers. Start with a lettuce leaf, then add the burger, and top with tzatziki sauce, red onion, and tomato. Serve immediately and enjoy!
