Description

This easy Baked Brie with Jam is sweet and savory with warm melty center and a crunchy honey walnut topping. It’s an elegant appetizer or snack for the holidays and will only take you ten minutes to put together!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz brie
  • 1/3 cup fig jam or preserves (I used this kind)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, plus more for serving
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Flaky sea salt, for serving
  • crostini, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a small baking dish or small cast iron skillet with parchment paper.
  3. Prep the brie: Using a sharp knife, score the brie by making diagonal cuts into the top rind of the brie being careful not to cut too deep into the cheese. Turn the brie and make another set of diagonal cuts into the rind so that you have a cross-hatched top layer.
  4. Spread the fig jam over the brie in an even layer.
  5. Make the walnut topping: Add the walnut, honey, orange zest, thyme leaves, salt, and pepper to a small bowl. Stir together until well combined.
  6. Top the brie with the walnut topping.
  7. Bake the brie for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is soft to the touch.
  8. Top with more fresh thyme leaves and flaky sea salt before serving with the cheese warm with crostini, sliced apples, and other crudités.
