Description

This Crock Pot Salsa Chicken Recipe comes together with a handful of simple ingredients for a delicious set-it-and-forget-it meal. Use the meat to make tacos, burritos, salads, and more!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 116oz jar red salsa
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Add the chicken, spices, salsa, and lime juice to the base of a slow cooker.
  2. Cook the chicken on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-5 hours until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
  3. Remove the chicken breast from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred the meat. Return the meat to the slow cooker and stir to combine. Cover and keep on warm until you are ready to eat.
