the perfect pumpkin spice cold brew coffee

I love the transition from August to September when everything pumpkin spice is in full force. Even though the temperature hasn’t really changed, we’re all still pretending fall is right around the corner.

The transition from summer to fall is the perfect time to start dreaming of cozy sweaters, hot apple cider, and of course everyone’s favorite – pumpkin spice lattes.

But, if you’re anything like me, the last thing you want in the afternoon is a hot pumpkin spice latte, especially when it’s still almost 100 degrees outside. That’s why this perfect Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew Coffee is so perfect. It’s served over ice so that you can enjoy all of your favorite pumpkin spice flavors while it’s still warm outside.

A Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew Coffee Made with real pumpkin

Unlike the pumpkin spice cold brew coffee you’ll find at your local coffee shop, this version is made with real pure pumpkin puree. Because this is a drink, a little pumpkin goes a long way. All you need is a one tablespoon to get the job done.

This cold brew coffee is also made with pure maple syrup as the sweetener. The flavor of the maple syrup works really well in this coffee and also blends well because it’s already in a liquid form. If you don’t want to use maple syrup, you could also use honey. Just make sure that the honey is blended well before serving.

The easiest way to blend your pumpkin spice cold brew

The best way to make this pumpkin spice cold brew drink is in your blender. All you need to do is add all of the ingredients to a high powered blender and blend until everything is smooth and frothy. If you don’t want to use a blender for whatever reason, you could use a whisk to incorporate everything together well.

Tips for making this cold brew coffee in advance

If you want to prep this drink in advance, just combine everything except the coffee and store in an air-tight container. When you’re ready to make the coffee, combine the cold brew and the pumpkin spice mixture in a jar and give it a shake until everything is well mixed. You can also just add the ingredients back to the blender and blend until smooth!

  1. Just made this today for a mid-day pick me up and wowwwww! This is perfection! Nice and light and creamy. The coffee shop version can be so heavy and sweet, and this fulfills my need for a fall treat without derailing my nutrition goals. Will keep this on my fall rotation from now on!

    • So happy to hear that Garen! I agree, the coffee shop version can be a bit too sweet for me as well. I’m so glad you liked the recipe and that you’ll be adding it to your fall rotation!
